As UNICANS we have a history
of conducting many successful fund raising events to support our
charitable and scholarship programs.
Our most notable event is the
ANNUAL LABOR DAY ITALIAN FESTIVAL
in conjunction with St. Bartholomew's Church in Scotch
Plains. The festival has been in existance since the
beginning of SPF UNICO.
All Union County UNICO chapters join in supporting the
JIMMY V CANCER FOUNDATION.
"Don't give up; don't ever give up" is the motto for the
Foundation in memory of Coach Jimmy Valvano.
Every year we honor the top high school scholar-athletes
of Italian-American heritage in our area at our
BRIAN PICCOLO AWARDS.
Our SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM provides
opportunities for college-bound high school seniors and are granted based
on academic qualifications, civic involvement and financial need.
SPF UNICO SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Our chapter holds dinner/business meetings on the 4th
Tuesday of every month except for July and August.
If you are the spouse of or a person of Italian heritage
and an American citizen, we invite you to become a member of
SPF UNICO.
